The guitar swing is one of the symbols most noble, beautiful and historic in our country, like good bread, pasta, coffee of this wonderful country.
"Guitar Swing", "guitar, mandola," "guitare en bateau", "guitare nasturtiums," "guitare Tuscan Tuscan-guitar "," guitar-wolbgitarre time. "Multiple designation for a single instrument, the five-string and between the eighteenth and nineteenth century influenced a lot of music and dance and Italian which has come down to us almost unchanged.
The first written documents on the guitar called "swing" is half of 600.
This tool, all Italian, differed from the English guitar (the guitar is commonly called today) to get the keys fixed, obtained inlaid ivory or metal rods on the keyboard, and because his jumper was mobile, held in place by string tension. These features suggest that on were usually mounted instrument metal strings (brass or steel low temperature).
The guitar swing almost certainly originated from the baroque, however, over the centuries, the baroque guitar has undergone many changes to its current form, while the guitar swing, except where otherwise negligible, has remained mostly the same. Not surprisingly, the famous family of violin makers De Bonis, bending of the bands, still uses the forms of 1700.
instrument popular until the early decades of this century, is currently present in Calabria, Cilento, Gargano, Campania, but was relegated to increasingly narrow musical circles, so many manufacturers have almost stopped building this ancient instrument.
The sound of swing guitar is a symbol of Italian music traditions, traditions that are waiting for a long time to be safeguarded and protected.
This protection seems to be now at hand thanks to the UNESCO Convention on Intangible Cultural Heritage. In fact, the convention finally regulating an area hitherto poorly recognized by the legal point of view, commonly referred to as "traditional culture", "folklore" or "popular culture".
In particular, the Convention seeks to safeguard, promote and conduct research on forms of cultural expression such as traditional music, legends, dance and traditional knowledge on environment and craftsmanship, focusing attention on the importance of oral transmission and the global diversity of traditional forms of cultural expression.
